Doug Weight has scored half of his 12 goals this season since the trade deadline. He left the game in the third period last night to receive stitches in his lip and did not return.

Martin Straka will be back in the lineup tomorrow.

The Rangers are reportedly trying to sign Nylander for two more seasons.

Ales Hemsky may be back in the lineup tonight. If so, this may be the spark the Oil needs, and the Avs big comeback could be in trouble. We shall see… Hemsky is not exactly a sparking type of player…

Christopher Higgins had a four-point night last night as the Habs roared back from a 3-1 deficit to hammer the Bruins 6-3. Higgins now has seven points in his last five games.

Andrei Kostitsyn is looking like a great option for next season in fantasy leagues. He has six points in his last five games and is earning more and more of Carbonneau's confidence.

Ladislav Nagy has had back-to-back two point games. Mike Modano is on six gamer and has eight points in that span.

The line of Cheechoo/Thornton/Michalek combined for 10 points last night. The line of Bell/Guerin/Marleau combined for the other Sharks goal last night.

Joe Pavelski was back in the San Jose lineup. He played under 13 minutes and his linemates were Grier and Brown.

Bill Guerin sat out the third period last night with a sore groin.

Joe Thornton has 20 points in nine games and 16 in his last six.

Henrik Zetterberg skated in practice yesterday and is looking to return from his back injury early next week.

Jiri Hudler's ice time went down as anticipated, however it only went down to 13:20 and he still managed an assist. He produces with minimal ice time and he has shown that all year. He saw a lot of ice time with Lang and Calder last night.

Todd Bertuzzi played over 16 minutes in his Detroit debut and was held pointless. Danny Cleary played 15 minutes in his return. Cleary was stuck on a line with Maltby and Draper. Bad sign for Cleary owners.

Sean Avery has seven points in his last four games. He is also a plus-5 and has eight PIM's.

Dustin Brown has three goals and eight points on his six game streak.

Mark Recchi has gone 14 games without a goal.

Ryan Craig has gone 14 games without a point for Tampa Bay.

Jaroslav Halak has had three consecutive wins, including a shutout. Too bad I started Biron and Tim Thomas over him for this week in the ICE experts league (weeks run Friday to Thursday and my deadline was Thursday night). The difference it makes? I would be first right now. Instead I am second and Rotoworld just tied me. I have Halak playing over Thomas for next week because Biron will turn things around with Upshall and Gagne back.
