Alexander Perezhogin will be back in the lineup tonight after an extended absence with a concussion. He will skate with Koivu and Ryder.

Tim Connolly is in the lineup – and he's scored a goal.

No word on Tim Connolly yet (see yesterday's ramblings). Although I did find out that Stafford's potential demotion is strictly a salary cap thing and he will be right back up with the team for the playoffs.

Rob Blake will be out for five months after undergoing surgery on his hip. that still puts him on track for training camp, but he is done for this year.

Marcel Hossa is practicing with the Rangers, but will not play until the playoffs, He was red-hot for them before he sprained his MCL.

For the second time in NHL history, a player has scored 30 or more goals for 15 straight seasons. Mike Gartner was the first. The newcomer? Jaromir Jagr.

After missing seven games with a separated left shoulder, Mike Richards was expected to be in the lineup this afternoon.

Ryan Parent will play for the Flyers today if Joni Pitkanen can't get over his flu.

Bill Guerin (groin) is doubtful for today's game.

Cujo is going to start each of the next two games in order to catch Terry Sawchuk on the all-time wins list. He'll need to win'em both.

Todd Bertuzzi and Nik Lidstrom are both expected to be back in the lineup tonight. Dominik Hasek is not.

Tom Priessing will miss today's contest with a groin injury.

Cristobal Huet is the likely starter for today's important game against the Leafs.

Jere Lehtinen and Eric Lindros are both questionable for Sunday's contest. Lehtinen seems the more likely of the two, as Lindros' groin is still not 100 per cent.

Todd Marchant underwent hernia surgery. It should heal his groin and abdominal problems once and for all, but there is no word on how long he will be out. At this point, I wouldn't recommend him at all for the playoff pool.

Hey – Anson Carter is on Carolina. I don't know if you knew that. He had been a healthy scratch for eight of his 18 games with the team. He finally got his first point for them last night, scoring the only goal.

Ric Jackman, in case you were wondering, missed last night's contest with back spasms.

Noah Welch scored in his first game as a Florida Panther.
