Dobber Sports

2007-04-16

I'm looking for smaller pool managers. I know about Pool Expert, Pickup Hockey and of course Office Pools. I would like to know about more of them. Please email me at dobber @ dobberhockey .com  with a link if you know one. Much appreciated.

Radulov's replacement for Game 3? Darcy Hordichuk, in what is already a rough series.

Joe Pavelski will make his playoff debut tonight and Mark Bell (groin) will sit.

Patrick Eaves was removed from the ice on a stretcher Sunday after taking a vicious bodycheck in Game 3. He was diagnosed with a concussion.

In January, Nicklas Backstrom lost three games in a row. He has never lost four in a row.

In the first three games, Marian Gaborik and Pavel Demitra have been held to a goal each and Brian Rolston and Mark Parrish are scoreless.

Francois Beauchemin was hit in the face by a puck in the third period and was taken to hospital. It required stitches but whether or not he sustained a concussion was not reported – and likely will not be until Game 4 starts.

Bob Hartley still has not announced his starter for Tuesday's Game 3.

Islanders coach Ted Nolan met with his captain, Alexei Yashin, for 20 minutes Sunday. Though neither divulged the details, it’s certain the dominant theme was what happened in Game Two (demotion).

Chris Drury and center Tim Connolly took Sunday off rather than practice with their teammates in HSBC Arena. Ruff said it was just a day of rest for both and neither is injured.

After both missing Game 1, Robyn Regehr (knee) and Jeff Friesen (torso) returned. Regehr didn't last the afternoon, reinjuring his leg, it appeared, on a hit from Kris Draper.

The 'Canes signed propsect Bobby Hughes to a three-year entry level deal. He is ranked 92 on my fantasy prospects list. It would take a strong camp to crack the roster in the fall. I think he's three years away.

Columbus raised their ticket prices for next year. Not related to fantasy hockey but thought it was stupid enough to note.

Eric Lindros skated on his sore hip and groin before the morning skate, and Tippett said he was encouraged by the workout. However, Lindros, who had missed two days skating Friday and Saturday, isn't close to returning, Tippett said.

Alex Burrows (head), who was crushed into the glass by Stephane Robidas in Game 1, returned to action Sunday after missing Game 2.

Matt Cooke (groin) did not make the trip from Vancouver, but he is still considered day-to-day

Todd Bertuzzi is probable for Tuesday's Game 3 and the Detroit media is speculating that Jiri Hudler will be scratched despite his strong play.

Steve Bernier (neck) is probable for Game 3. Mark Bell (groin) is doubtful.

Steve Downie made his pro debut for the Phantoms yesterday. He was scoreless with a shot and was minus-1, while seeing time on both the power play and penalty kill.
