Dominik Hasek will decide before the draft if he will retire or not. It sounds like he is leaning in that direction.

The Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg, Mikael Samuelsson line combined for seven points in the third period last night.

Maxim Mayorov, who will likely be a first round pick one month from today, signed to play another year in Russia with Ak Bars Kazan.

Former Florida GM Rick Dudley and broadcaster and Hall of Famer Phil Esposito are in agreement when they say that when Nathan Horton is 25 or 26, he will be a 45 to 50 goal scorer. I would tend to agree with that, but his bandaid boy status would need to be upgraded first…

Keep an eye on Josh Tordjman. The 22-year-old goaltender was signed out of the ECHL and all but stole the No.1 duties for David LeNeveu in San Antonio and put up solid numbers. He may have moved ahead of LeNeveu in the depth chart. Outperforming LeNeveu in camp would seal the deal. Stranger things have happened.

Dainius Zubrus has indicated that he would like to remain in Buffalo.

Doug Wilson has all but guaranteed (actually…he kinda DID guarantee) that one of Toskala or Nabokov would be moved. The team has too much invested in two goaltenders.

Injuries and outjuries include a pair of goalies returning to their teams in Ingram and Shesterkin, as well as how Monahan’s wrist injury opens the door for big minutes for Fantilli. Finally, the pair touch on Voronkov and PLD’s hot streaks, and discuss John Carlson’s rollercoaster in light of Chychrun’s production.

On this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast mega-show, Elan and Brian tour every team, ranking a slate of the least bad goalies, noticing the wind in some Red Wings’ and Stars’ sails, dangling snoozer status above a pair of commonly rostered power-play quarterbacks, and rushing or strolling, accordingly, to some skaters on the up and up.
