Hockey pool announcement in the forum.
Invitations to the DobberHockey pool – Entry Division – have been sent to the 12 winners.
Andrei Taratyukhin has signed a three-year deal to play for Ufa in Russia, according to a pair of Russian sources. He is ranked 147 on my Fantasy Prospects list, but will likely fall out of the top 200 if this news is confirmed.
The Boston Globe is reporting that Marc Savard is in the best shape of his career.
With Shawn Thornton gone from Anaheim, look for prospect Mike Hoffman to vie for a spot as a spare fourth-liner/tough guy. He's 6-4, 240 pounds and will garner three PIM's for every game that he plays. If he makes the team, that will equate to 20-30 games and 70-100 PIM's.
Artem Anisimov was back in the lineup yesterday against Canada. It was in doubt when he took a nasty knee on knee in Game 3. He has a shot at the No.3 center role for the Rangers this year.
