Cut!

The Blues made some tough decisions today, sending seven players packing…including a top prospect and a pair of goaltenders.
As I speculated in my pool guide , Jason Bacashihua was cut and Hannu Toivonen will be the Blues backup. Given Manny Legace's injury history, expect Bacashihua to get a callup later in the season. Goalie Juuso Riksman was also cut.
Patrick Berglund had such a strong camp there was some speculation that he would crack the lineup as a 19-year-old. I had him pegged to make the team next season, but his incredible play had me reconsidering my stance. However, he was returned to his team in Sweden today. He will be a Calder contender next season.
Other cuts: Jeff Woywitka, Alex Brooks, Micki Dupont and Michal Birner. The Blues still have 32 players in camp, so more cuts will come after their game on Wednesday.
