Alfredsson's groin injury will keep him out of the lineup tomorrow and he is listed as day to day.

This is something. Alexander Semin did not travel with the team to Philly. He re-injured his ankle in practice yesterday and is officially listed as day-to-day. He has come back from this three times now, only to be knocked out again within a few days of coming back. They were extra careful with him this time too. I guess they should have sat him out of practices for awhile.

Don't forget guys/gals – early games today, starting at noon. So set your lineups.

Daniel Alfredsson did not take part in last night's shootout because he hurt his groin. He will be re-evaluated today. I missed that even though I watched the game. Why? Because the Center Ice package on Rogers cut out 30 seconds into overtime. Nice, eh?

Drew Stafford injured his shoulder Wednesday and will miss both games this weekend, if not more.

Erik Cole is probable for tonight against the Lightning. Expect Staal and Stillman to get rolling as well.

Bryzgalov will face his former team the Ducks for the first time tonight. He is already red hot, so it may be wise to go with him tonight.

Chris Osgood will get the start tomorrow.

Shea Weber has three points in three games since returning.

The Preds are happy with Blake Geoffrion's improvement in the AHL his year. He has eight points in 10 games for Wisconsin. He is ranked 297 on my prospects list – his offensive upside is minimal (60 points tops).

Martin Erat has nine points in his last five games and 14 in his last 12.

Rusty Klesla has a hip pointer and is questionable for tonight's contest. Ole-Kristian Tollefsen (flu) will return to the lineup, as well Mike Peca.

Fredrik Norrena will get the start tonight.

After being a healthy scratch, JM Liles was back. He was plus-1 with an assist in 20:20 of ice time – he played over 12 minutes on the power play.

Jordan Leopold is targeting mid-December for a return to the lineup.

Joe Sakic has not scored a goal in 11 games. He is pointless in his last four. It won't last, but it is still an indication of how Father Time is finally catching up with him. 80 points may finally be out of reach for him.

Ryan Smyth broke his nose Tuesday, but still got into the lineup last night, as you would expect from Ryan Smyth.

Sergei Samsonov missed last night's game of all things because of the flu.

Alexander Ovechkin on his new coach: "He's more offensive coach. He tell us to shoot the puck more, move quickly." Another good sign, I don't have to tell you.

Washington line combos under Boudreau: Kozlov with Ovechkin and Clark. Nylander with Fleischmann and Semin. Steckel with Pettinger and Gordon. Laich with Brashear and Bradley. Backstrom subbed in fo
