Edmonton line combos: Gagner, Horcoff, Hemsky. Cogliano with Nilsson and Penner. Reasoner with Brodziak and Sanderson. Stoll with Torres and Stortini.

Martin Havlat will be back in the lineup tomorrow for Chicago. The over/under on his return to the IR is December 6.

Kane, Ruutu and Toews have combined for just three points in their last six games. Kane has just one point in that span.

Pascal Leclaire left last night's contest in the second period with a hamstring injury. The team says that it is not serious and pretty much precautionary, but it pretty much drives the point home that your bubble can burst quickly if you own a Band-Aid boy who is performing above expectations. This is the reason I keep pushing you to 'sell high'.

Scott Hartnell elbowed Andrew Alberts in the head last night, smashing it into the boards. Alberts lay on the ice for nine minutes before being helped off. He did not return. Hartnell will be the fourth Flyer suspended this season.

Andrej Sekera led all Buffalo players in ice time last night, despite having just been recalled. He did not, however, see any PP time.

San Jose did the backup goalie swap again, sending Greiss to the minors and recalling Patzold.

Alexander Semin was back in the lineup and played over 17 minutes. He, Fleischmann and Nylander were each a minus-2.

Steve Eminger got into his second contest of the season and picked up his first point, an assist.

Drew Miller skated with the Ducks yesterday and could be in the lineup today. He has missed time with a knee strain.

The Coyotes are in Minnesota tomorrow – Peter Mueller's hometown. It will be his first visit home so expect a big game from the big rookie.

Pavol Demitra is probable for tomorrow.

Mikko Koivu is not yet ready to skate.

Josh Harding (head) is close to skating.

Derek Boogaard left practice yesterday with back spasms.

Owen Nolan left last game with a hip injury, but appears ready to return to the lineup.

Mark Recchi's agent is stepping in about his being scratched for four of five games. He would not say if he asked Ray Shero for a trade though.

The Penguins have asked the league to switch the second assist on Malone's power-play goal against Atlanta from Letang to Christensen.

Mike Van Ryn has had his wrist operated on twice already and he faces a decision whether or not to have it done a third time. He is already on the shelf for awhile, but surgery would mean even longer.

Cory Murphy (bruised shoulder) did not practice yesterday as expected. If he misses practice today, do not expect him back until Saturday.

Vokoun will likely start Wednesday and Anderson will start Thursday.

Tom Poti played 31 minutes last night – so you know where the new coach stands on that guy.

I will be in Kitchener tonight to attend the Rangers – Knights OHL game. I haven't been in the new building so I'm looking forward to it.

I mentioned that I was in Facebook yesterday afternoon in the ramblings and I suddenly got a few friend requests, so I take it some of you didn't notice that I mentioned it in the pool guide. So I'll bring it up again for all the morning readers. There is a Dobber Hockey group and discussion board and occasionally news about the site.
