It turns out that Regehr's foot is broken. He is out indefinitely

Loui Eriksson did not practice yesterday because of a sore shoulder and will be re-evaluated today.

Michael Nylander is injured. What is his injury, you ask? The Caps aren't saying. They won't even say "upper" or "lower" body. He wasn't in practice yesterday and when reporters asked why, it was revealed that he was injured and will not be playing today and probably not tomorrow either. Good ol' NHL disclosure.

Martin Biron's last seven starts, he is 2-2-2 with a no-decision. He had a 3.56 GAA with a .893 save percentage in those games.

Minnesota's Aaron Voros in his last nine games has six points, is a plus-5, and has 24 PIMs. Makes a good short-term pickup in roto leagues. He is playing with Gaborik and Demitra right now. You can't really beat that.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard is pointless in his last six contests. On this team, I question whether he will ever make it to 75 points, even though the talent is there.

Jose Theodore will get the start tonight.

Joe Sakic will miss his fourth game with a groin injury tonight, and will miss at least their next game as well.

Boston rearguard Dennis Wideman has eight points in his last 12 games.

Patrick Kane has no goals and six assists in his last 10 games. Regardless, I think he's a safe bet to have at least a 70-point rookie season.

Dustin Byfuglien will start tonight's game as a forward on a line with Havlat and Lang.

David Bolland will play with Tuomo Ruutu and Adam Burish.

Dan Ellis lost his first game of the season for Nashville in 10 appearances.

Chris Higgins has nine points in his last nine games for the Habs.

Michael Ryder is pointless in his last eight. He was a healthy scratch last night. He has missed only two games in his career and this was his first healthy scratch.

Dustin Brown is on a seven-game point streak and has 11 in that span. His current pace is 70 points, which I think he'll get. This is apparently his breakout year. If you owned the line of Brown, Cammalleri and Kopitar (as I do in one keeper league), cha-ching. The line combined for 10 points last night in the 8-2 shelacking over the Sabres. Jon Quick got his first NHL win, but only had to face 17 shots.

Marek Schwarz has been recalled to back up Toivonen while Legace (knee) is questionable for tonight's game. Toivonen will get the start.

Manny Fernandez has been assigned to Providence for conditioning.

Robyn Regehr left last night's game after blocking a shot with his leg.

Pavel Kubina was back in the Toronto lineup last night and picked up another assist in what has been a rather productive offensive season.

No Leaf fans, four wins in a row does not make them a Cup favorite. Or a playoff participant, for that matter.

Nik Antropov's hat trick last night gives him eight points and a plus-6 in his last four games. Suddenly, he's back to a point per game. I still can't see him playing 65 games though, but if he gets there, he will clear 60 points.

Mark Recchi has been 'assigned' to Wilkes-Barre, but he will be recalled likely today so teams can scoop him up for $875,000, minus the 30 games into the season.

Marc-Andre Fleury left yesterday's contest early with an ankle injury.

Kris Letang made a beautiful deke as the Pens' fourth shooter to seal the shootout victory over the Flames.

No word on a solid return date for Scott Niedermayer, but the Ducks need to clear $1 million of cap space from next year's cap before he can play. Expect a move to be made quickly.

Mathieu Schneider has three goals and 11 points in 14 games since returning from a fractured left ankle.

Teemu Selanne and his wife, Sirpa, welcomed the birth of a girl, Veera Johanna, Wednesday. This news won't exactly rush Teemu into the fold.
