Daniel Carcillo is out for 6-8 weeks with a knee injury. Here is my take on how it impacts my Expert League fortures …

I wrote today's Daily Slate, but I also wrote the "Fantasy Inbox " for today as well, which you may enjoy.

Cam Ward will get the start tonight against TB. He is 6-10-1 in his last 17 decisions and has not won three straight since the start of the season.

There is a chance that Johan Holmqvist will start against Carolina – he has a stellar record against the

'Canes this season, so he may get a chance to break out of his slump. My money is still on Ramo though.

Peter Schaefer is questionable due to a bruised foot.

Glen Murray will be out until after Christmas with a hip flexor.

Therrien had no update on top-line left winger Ryan Malone, who missed his third consecutive game because of a leg infection.

Ted Nolan scratched both Berard and Bergeron. Who saw that coming?

Jonathan Cheechoo is back skating, but will likely still miss the next couple of games with his groin injury.

Josh Harding has started four games in a row for the wild and is 4-0-0, 1.75 and .942. He is likely starting again today as Lemaire goes with the hot hand.

Tomas Holmstrom re-injured his knee Thursday and will have an MRI today. He will miss at least today's game.

Mike Peca should be back in the Columbus lineup Sunday.

Ryan Smyth is 'extremely doubtful' (stiff neck) to play Sunday.

Mike Ribeiro has 11 points in six games. He's been unbelievable.

Petr Sykora is in another one of his slumps, going pointless in five games. He played last game on Staal's line.

Derek Roy played last night after all. He was questionable with a shoulder injury but ended up playing over 23 minutes. Tim Connolly's illness kept him out of the lineup.

Dustin Brown missed last night's game with a shoulder injury.

Ladislav Nagy returned to the lineup and played 15 minutes, including five on the power play.

David Vyborny returned from his groin injury last night.

The Bruins recalled Matt Lashoff from Providence. He will see time on the second power play unit.

Rick Nash has gone pointless for six straight games for the first time in his career.
