Wow – that was scary. The site went offline for four hours. Why? I don't know. My host's phone number and cell number are not in service and I haven't heard from him in a couple of weeks. I was in the process of doing two things: 1) Find a new host. 2) Contact the police and figure out how I can have regain access to my files so that they can be switched to the new host. Without that access, I would have to start the entire site up again from scratch. The email was not finalized, when the site came back up. However, I will still proceed with Point 1, and make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm also backing up the entire site on my computer. This was a wakeup call – I'm too damn trusting.

Chris Osgood signed a THREE YEAR contract extension with the Red Wings. His value goes up tremendously, because at his age you don't know how many years he has left. Now you do. It's three. And with a great team.

It turns out that it was a left quad injury that took Zherdev out of the game. After laying on the ice for several moments, he left the game unassisted. He returned for a couple of shifts in the second period, but did not play the final 26 minutes. He is questionable for Friday.

The Avs send TJ Hensick down to Lake Erie because Ty Aranason will be back in the lineup tonight.

Simon Gagne will skate today and is expected to then announce that he will play tomorrow against the Rangers.

Coach John Tortorella last night: "Ramo – was spectacular." I'm thinking Ramo will get a lot of starts over the next little while.

Patrick Eaves has been skating of late and hopes to be back in the Ottawa lineup on Saturday against Detroit.

Ray Emery took Brian McGratton out to dinner last night. The forum was buzzing about how they had a fight during practice. This news should calm that buzz down…

The Phoenix Coyotes have won six straight road games and have outscored opponents 23-9 during that span.

Eric Fehr hopes to suit up tonight for the Hershey Bears. He has not played since last February.

Forwards Alexander Semin (tailbone) and Michael Nylander (shoulder) said they intend to play tonight against the Colorado Avalanche.

Alexander Radulov left Tuesday's contest in the second period with a neck strain. Fortunately, the team does not play again until Saturday, and Radulov managed to pick up an assist before he got hurt.

Nik Zherdev played just under eight minutes last night. He did not play the final 26 minutes of the game.

Jack Skille scored his first goal and added his first assist of his NHL career last night. Skille is ranked 19th on my fantasy prospects list.

Speaking of fantasy prospects lists – the usual update on the 10th will be delayed. I have a draft on the 12th, so everyone will have to wait until the 13th – because I won't give my competitors an edge!! The update will include WJC adjustments, etc.

David Vyborny was back in the Columbus lineup and played 15:26 and was a minus-2.

Corey Locke was a minus-1 in just 5:59 of ice time in his first career NHL game. He is ranked 220 on the prospects list, but will move up that list now that he has had a taste.

Samsonov was in the Carolina lineup in their 1-0 win Tuesday, logging over 20 minutes of ice time and seeing time on the first power-play unit. He also had three shots on goal and one blocked shot, which will endear him enough to earn another long look next game against the New Jersey Devils Thursday.

Ray Whitney missed last night's game with an illness.

Martin Straka missed last night's contest with a concussion, and Sean Avery missed with a bruised hand. Straka will be out for at least a week. Nigel Dawes and Greg Moore were recalled.

Another game with Hasek in net… another game where the Wings allow under 20 shots. Just 19 saves were needed for his shutout.

Need penalty minutes? Buffalo's Patrick Kaleta has 100 in 26 AHL games. He was recalled to replace Derek Roy in the lineup (shoulder) and picked up two PIM's in minimal ice time. Roy could be back any game though, so Kaleta's stay may be short-lived.
