A great depth defenseman to look at right now for roto leagues with PIMs: Mike Commodore has five points and 42 penalty minutes in his last 11 games – and it's all spread out over the 11 games, so it's not from just one 'golden' game.

Bob McKenzie wrote in his blog about how Marian Hossa will like test the UFA market in the summer and thus will be traded by the Thrashers within seven weeks.

Roy, Spacek, Connolly and Afinogenov will all miss tonight's game. Afinogenov actually took a step backwards in yesterday's practice and he could be out for awhile.

Both Steven Reinprecht and Radim Vrbata left last night's contest. Reinprecht was due to neck spasms, Vrbata a "lower body".

Marian Gaborik has 20 points in his last 12 contests.

Chuck Kobasew is pointless in five.

Tuomo Ruutu is performing far below expectations. I know he is a second-half performer, but he needs to pick it up soon or fall into fantasy irrelevance. He is pointless in four games and seven points in his last 29 games. He is on pace for 31 points.

For now, Boyd Gordon is centering the second line with Fleischmann (who had two points last night) and Semin (who had three). The injury to Nylander may rush the timeline for an Eric Fehr recall, even though he is a winger.

Cory Murphy practiced with the team yesterday and reports that he was pain free for the first time. He has missed 27 games so far, and hopes to be back after the All-Star break and it looks very promising.

Alexander Steen missed last night's contest with the flu.

The streaky JP Dumont is on a nine-game point streak.

Steve Sullivan is out for the season. The Preds made the official announcement that doctors recommend another six months of full rest. in July, Sullivan can begin getting into shape for next season. Doctors stress that the back surgery that he had normally takes six months to a year to make a full recovery. All parties involved are confident that he will be 100 percent for next season.

Shea Weber was back in the Nashville lineup Tuesday.

Osgood alert: just prior to his new contract he faced 157 shots and gave up nine goals. Since signing the contract, he has faced 45 shots and has given up nine goals. He got the hook last night. Uh oh Osgood owners.

Some time over the next 48 hours, the site will be down. Probably twice and probably for a couple of hours. I will know about the time as it approaches. The forum may be down even longer. But it is just as I change hosts. Once I change hosts, the site will be more reliable. Last week's fiasco doesn't sit well with me so I am taking action.
