Chris Campoli will undergo shoulder surgery Thursday and will be out for the rest of the season. This opens the door for Bergeron to finish the season without being scratched.

The Coyotes did the intelligent thing and signed Ilya Bryzgalov to a three-year $12.75 million extension. He stays were he is and that's a good thing for all involved. The 'Yotes are on the upswing.

Crosby will be out for 6-8 weeks, doctors figured today after taking a look at his ankle.

The least surprising news in Toronto. JFJ has been fired and Cliff Fletcher is interim GM. DobberHockey discussion is here.

The latest from the King of Rumors – Bruce Garrioch (current record for trade rumors that pan out: 3 for 17,952): The Sens spoke to the Kings about Nagy, Blake and/or Modry. Forsberg also remains an option. Bryan Murray is actively trying to land a top six forward because Dany Heatley is out for an extended period of time with a separated shoulder (this article was just posted this morning at 9:20am, so do not put a TON of stock in Yahoo/ Rotowire reports saying Heatley could be back much much earlier than expected.

The Sun reports in an article yesterday that Heatley is still 4-5 weeks out. Yahoo, quoting Rotowire who quoted the same newspaper I am quoting, is saying two weeks at most, but I'm just not finding that. The news I am digging up – some as fresh as five minutes ago – indicates four more weeks.

Forwards Jere Lehtinen (hernia) and Jussi Jokinen (knee) skated Monday. Jokinen might play this week, but Lehtinen probably won't return until after this weekend's All-Star break.

David Legwand left last night's contest after playing just 51 seconds. He suffered a leg injury and will miss at least the next two games.

Alexander Radulov played over 20 minutes and had a three-point game. Trotz on Rads: "It was a real solid game by Rad," Trotz said. "He was doing all the right things. He is showing more attention to detail and growing up in a lot of areas of his game and that showed tonight."

Martin Lapointe did not practice last night due to a bruised kidney. He is out until after the All-Star break.

Dave Bolland (broken finger) and Ben Eager (concussion) were back in practice and should be back in the lineup next week.

Jonathan Toews is still out for another three weeks with his knee injury.

Uh oh Zetterberg owners. His back is acting up again. His back spasms could cause him to miss tomorrow's game. The pain apparently flared up when he took a hit on Saturday. His back caused him to miss 19 games last season and five this season.

Tyler Kennedy (groin) and Colby Armstrong (hip) missed last night's contest and are questionable for Thursday.

Jonathan Filewich played just 7:27 last night and saw some time on the second PP unit. He was pointless and a minus-1.

Jaroslav Spacek was back in the Buffalo lineup and logged the second most ice time on the team, but was a minus-2.

Glen Murray was back in practice yesterday and is aiming for a return immediately after the All-Star break. He still missed some practice drills.

Phil Kessel has two points in nine games as a winger on the top line, covering for Murray.

A month before the trade deadline and the Calgary media is buzzing about Alex Tanguay's potential to be traded. At $5 million- plus per season, he would free up space to sign Langkow and Huselius.

Cory Stillman's OT winner last night was just his fourth point in 10 games. This will probably get him going again.

Cory Murphy practiced with the Panthers Monday and he could get into the lineup on Tuesday to play the Senators. I will put him in for a defenseman who has the night off, since Murphy was  not on my IR but on my bench. If he is on IR on your squad, time to start thinking about your options because he will run their power play.

Mike Cammalleri skated in practice today, but wore the no-contact jersey. He will not be in the lineup before this weekend's All-Star game.

Ladislav Nagy did not skate in practice today. He has a sore neck.
