Carey Price will get the start today. Alex Kovalev is battling an ankle injury but will be in the lineup.

In two starts for Wilkes-Barre, Marc Andre Fleury is 1-1-0, but has an impressive 1.01 GAA and a .966 SV%

Braydon Coburn skated yesterday again and is actually probable to get back into the lineup tonight.

Sam Gagner how has six points in five games since Horcoff went on the shelf. As I've been saying all week, his ice time has seen a major jump.

Teddy Purcell was recalled to replace Cammalleri in the lineup last night (flu) and scored his first career goal. The team will be hard-pressed to keep Purcell and Boyle off the roster next fall.

Dominik Hasek says that he has been sore for a week or two and things are not improving. He does not know when he will return.

Chris Osgood got chased from the game for the second straight time. Jimmy Howard came in and stopped nine of 10. No word on if Jimmy will get the next start, but he has impressed.

Darren McCarty scored three times yesterday for Grand Rapids of the AHL. You just know that Detroit is going to call him up. The Red Wings have lost five straight games.

Chris Drury will play his former team the Sabres for the second time since becoming a Ranger. he was pointless the first time.

Dick Tarnstrom has four points in three games for Columbus. Hopefully you got on board last week when I said to.

Kris Russell missed yesterday's contest with an undisclosed injury.

Jiri Novotny missed the game with a shoulder injury.

Jared Boll, as I warned, missed the game with bronchitis.

Nathan Horton has six goals and nine points in his last eight games.

Rostislav Olesz returned to the Florida lineup and scored a goal. Injuries have slowed down his growth as a player, but he still has an 80-point future if he can stay… mostly healthy. He played 17:33 last night and 4:16 on the PP.

It turns out that Kris Beech's wrist is broken. He was immediately placed on injured reserve and the team recalled Connor James and Chris Minard. Alex Goligoski was sent down.

The Avs sent Brad Richardson to the minors yesterday even though Paul Stastny is still not skating and Brett Clark is likely gone for the season.

Kevin Bieksa is back in practice – with contact. He will be back before the end of February. He is getting back into game shape.
