I have two new entries in my blog – rants, if you will, and we all love those. Check them out HERE . One is my take on Sundin getting moved. The other is on this talk about Leclaire getting Vezina consideration.

Chris Simon will return to the Isles lineup tonight.

Kevin Bieksa will return to the Canucks lineup tonight.

Patrick Marleau was back in the San Jose lineup and played over 21 minutes, notching an assist.

Thomas Greiss got his second career NHL start, but failed to get the win. He gave up three goals on 20 shots.

Patrik Elias has eight assists in his last six contests.

Hey! Cujo nabbed his first win of the season last night.

Thomas Vanek's hat trick last night gives him 11 points in seven games. To reach the 70 that I said he would get to a few weeks ago, he needs 26 in the next 22 games. Everyone doubted me in the forums… still doubt?

Still no word on a potential return of Maxim Afinogenov.

Jason Williams was back in the Chicago lineup and played with Toews and Sharp.

Nikolai Khabibulin was back as the starter and had a fantastic game – 38 saves for the shutout.

Here is an opportunity for Geoff Platt, who I expect will be recalled soon – both Todd Marchant and Ryan Carter left yesterday's contest with injury. With Weight already on the shelf, that's three pivots down. After Getlaf and Pahlsson, Platt would be the third line center and No.2 on the power play. I assume he will be recalled. This will also impact the Ducks at the deadline.

Ray Emery will get the start tonight for the Sens

Kris Russell is questionable tonight. He has the flu.

The Jackets will welcome Jiri Novotny back to the lineup. He has been out with a bruised shoulder.

The Toronto Star is reporting that the Avs have no plans to resign potential UFA JM Liles. Expect him to be dealt.

Sidney Crosby had the day off yesterday, getting some rest. He has practiced several days in a row. He did not accompany the team to Montreal, thus avoiding a media crush. A return for next week still looks good to me.

Erik Christensen was back in practice but not taking contact.

With Nick Lidstrom hurt, look for Sergei Gonchar to win the d-man scoring crown this season. He is eight points back. With one more point he reaches 50 for the eighth year in a row. No other defenseman has five in a row currently.

David Legwand has just two points in his last nine games.
