Maxim Afinogenov. Do you want the good news or bad news? The good news is he was back in the lineup. The bad? He played 11 minutes with Kaleta and Mair.
Drew Stafford was also back in the lineup, but played just 10 minutes.
Steve Bernier played 18:48, but was held off the scoresheet despite Roy and Vanek posting two points each.
Clarke MacArthur was a healthy scratch.
Dan Paille left last night's contest with a knee injury. He will be re-evaluated.
Ryan Whitney may not play today because of a groin injury. The team recalled Alex Goligoski just in case.
It looks like Conklin will start today, Fleury tomorrow.
Ray Whitney hurt his leg Thursday and did not practice yesterday. He will likely miss today's contest.
Boston goalie Manny Fernandez was back skating yesterday for the first time since his knee surgery.
Sergei Fedorov notched an assist in his Washington debut last night. He played 16 minutes and was on the top PP unit. He'll be in for a good stretch run, methinks.
Marcel Hossa is playing with Mueller and Reinprecht. He will keep the spot if he produces, but I don't see that happening. This is his last chance of making something of his career.
Kris Russell was a healthy scratch yesterday.
Ryan Shannon scored for Vancouver last night. Seven points in seven games.
Edmonton's Robert Nilsson is waking up again. The streaky winger has five points in his last six contests.
