Crosby played over 22 minutes and assisted on the first goal last night. He played with Talbot and Dupuis.

Jordan Staal left last night's contest in the first period with bruised ribs.

Ryan Whitney was back in the lineup. Goligoski was sent back down.

Michel Therrien has said that he will go with the hot hand, so Fleury got the start last night. Because he picked up the shutout, expect Fleury to get the start next game too.

Kris Beech (broken wrist) is on the road with the team and could be back in the lineup very soon.

Gary Roberts is skating and hopes to be back by the end of the month and get some games in before the playoffs.

Daniel Briere suffered a sprained right shoulder Sunday and missed last night's contest as a result. He will probably miss another couple of games before it's all said and done.

Brad Richards has the flu and may miss tonight's contest.

Chris Pronger hopes to return to the lineup tonight. He has been out with a broken jaw.

Marc Antoine Pouliot did not play a game before being sent right back down.

Andrew Brunette has points in six of his last seven games, and seven in that span. He should still salvage 60 points.

Peter Forsberg played 19:57 and 6:45 on the PP. His presense did not really hurt Stastny (20 minutes), Sakic (20:17), or Hejduk (21 minutes), although Brunette played only 12:24.

Dan Ellis got his second straight start last night and won it, going to 17-6-2. He has been quite the story and the Preds will continue to ride him until he loses or until back to back games.

Expect Rick DiPietro (personal) to return to the lineup on Thursday.

Craig Anderson has two straight shutouts with his 40-save performance yesterday. He stopped 53 on Sunday – an NHL record for a shutout. Anderson makes a great short-term pickup (as I said in last summer's pool guide) as the Cats will continue to ride him.

With three points last night, Afinogenov has four in his last two games as he rounds back into form.

Andrej Sekera was recalled yesterday and led the Buffalo defense in ice with 24:47. He played just 35 seconds on the PP though, but was a plus-2. Spacek played 6:31 on the PP but was pointless. Lydman had one point and played just over two PP minutes. Paetsch played 1:34 on the PP and had an assist. It's still not clear who Campbell's replacement will be, as Spacek is blowing his opportunity.

Niclas Havelid did not suffer significant damage to his elbow and will be back in the Atlanta lineup tonight.

Todd White is a gametime decision (lacerated elbow)

Jay McClement was a healthy scratch for the Blues last night. David Perron got back in and garnered an assist.

Brian Rafalski will play tonight.

Mike Babcock has indicated that Dominik Hasek will play 10 of the team's last 15 contests. I question if he can remain healthy for that, but that's what they are shooting for.

Corey Crawford will get his first NHL start of the season for Chicago tonight.

Alex Tanguay was back in the lineup.

Patrice Bergeron skated for 28 minutes yesterday and took shots on the fly, getting his heart rate up. He says he feels fine. The next big step is contact, but that's a ways away yet.
