The NHL has suspended Chris Pronger for eight games. You may see Bergeron actually get some PP time now. But wait a game to see for sure.

Mats Sundin will miss today's game against Buffalo. In the forum where we pick winners every Saturday, I picked the Leafs to win in OT. They have a flair for the dramatic and they will surge to ninth place. That's where they'll finish. By one point. Just like the last two years.

It was pointed out in the forum… Brooks Laich was who the Caps got in the Peter Bondra deal with Ottawa and not the Robert Lang deal with Detroit. That's what I get for trusting my memory haha.

Looking Ahead has been fully updated now.

If you are a company interested in some great cheap advertising, I have two opportunities for you. One is a 30-second spot on Dobber Nation, our radio show. Another is – I need two more prizes for the upcoming DobberHockey playoff pool. See? Very low cost – but will reach the eyes and ears of THOUSANDS. NHL line combos have been updated for a good week now, as our new team is right on top of things. If you need to see who plays with whom… check it out.

Marian Hossa and Max Talbot are both expected back in the Pittsburgh lineup tomorrow. Crosby, as mentioned, will be gone for a week.

Philly prospect Rob Bellamy completed his NCAA obligations and signed with the Phantoms. He holds no offensive value, but he could be a 150 PIM guy if he ever makes the show.

Colorado prospect Tom Fritsche has completed his NCAA obligations and has signed a contract with Lake Erie. He had a disappointing season offensively and sits 140th on my prospects list.

The Wild recalled Benoit Pouliot, as expected.

Montreal line combos: Koivu with Latendresse and Ryder, Grabovski with Higgins and S.Kostitsyn.

Buffalo line combo: this line worked last night, as the Sabres won 7-1. Kotalik was at center with Afinogenov and Vanek on the wings.

With injuries to Spacek, Paetsch and Kalinin, Andrej Sekera is looking like a great fantasy option on the blue line. He was a plus-4 with one point last night.

Brooks Laich has six goals in his last six games for Washington and has 10 points in his last nine contests. He has been seeing 15/16 minutes of ice time per game, as well as some power-play time. He has a history of offense in Junior and during his last partial season in the AHL. The Caps acquired him in the Robert Lang trade and was projected to be a third-line checker with 40-point scoring touch. I put his upside at 55 points, as I don't expect this run to last. But he is one to watch in your peripherals.

Mike Richards will probably return today, or by tomorrow at the latest.

Ray Whitney will be out for the remainder of the season. He will under go surgery on his injured leg. He should be ready for the start of the playoffs.

Peter Forsberg will not play today. Ryan Smyth WILL

Zdeno Chara clearly has a hand, wrist, or shoulder injury. He skates around just fine, but his wrist shots are weak (in practice) and he is not taking slap shots. He will remain out of the lineup for a few more days.

Patrice Bergeron has not been cleared for contact, but has been cleared for full practice otherwise. He is close to contact. I think you'll see him for the last three games of the season.

Patrik Elias' knee is still bothering him and he may not get into the lineup this afternoon.

Tim Connolly missed last night's game, which is the second game in a row for him. He had been on a plan to skip every other game due to his hip. He will not play today and I would be surprised if you got five more games out of him going forward.
