I said earlier that Shanahan missed last night's contest with a lower body injury. He actually LEFT last night's contest with the injury. He apparently would have been available for the shootout.
Colton Orr is out indefinitely with a broken toe.
David Legwand will not be back before the end of the season but hopes to be back for the playoffs.
Fredrik Modin will return from his concussion Thursday. Ditto for Pascal Leclaire, although Leclaire is a little more questionable.
Craig Anderson will get the start for Florida tonight.
It turns out that Doug Weight was a healthy scratch Sunday. With Ryan Carter expected back this weekend, do not be surprised if Weight is scratched for a lot of playoff games.
Both Jaroslav Spacek and Dimitri Kalinin skated yesterday and MAY play tonight for the Sabres.
Both Gary Roberts and Adam Hall expect to be back in the Pittsburgh lineup this weekend.
RJ Umberger (knee) is hoping to get clearance to play tomorrow. He is skating hard in practice
Vinny Prospal (flu) will play, so Downie will likely be scratched.

In case you missed last night's post in the ramblings – Kyle Turris signed with Phoenix and will play their last three games.
The Panthers signed UFA Andrew Sweetland, a high-scoring 21-year-old playing just the one year for Maine in NCAA. He posted 17 points in 28 games. I don't expect him to have a fantasy impact, but I will add him to the prospect template that I have.
Brendan Shanahan missed last night's contest with a lower body injury.
Ryan Whitney was moved back to the blue line last night and as a result the team scratched Kris Letang. Whitney has had a disappointing season to say the least but I would expect that he will bounce back next year.
Mike Smith was back in the TB lineup. Marc Denis was returned to Norfolk.
Chris Terry, a Carolina prospect ranked 174 on my prospects list, has signed an amateur tryout contract and will play for Albany to finish the year. Next season he will be back in junior, unless he makes Carolina. He has excellent upside.
Martin St.Louis has just nine points in his last 20 games and is a minus-21 in that span. He has been shut out of 13 of those games. An absolutely incredible run – dismal, but incredible.

Leaf fans – look for me at the game tonight. I have to suffer through a TOR-BUF game that I bought tickets for last fall. Oops. Thank goodness for beer.
