With Iowa eliminated, Dallas recalled Chris Conner and James Neal, among others. Conner may see action if a player gets hurt.

David Legwand returned the the NSH lineup and played 16:16, going plus-3 and scoring a goal.

Rob Niedermayer may not play tonight due to an "upper body injury".

Gary Roberts missed yesterday's contest with a sore groin. Adam Hall took his spot.

Darryl Sydor was a healthy scratch again for the Pens.

Daniel Alfredsson returned to the lineup last night. Randy Robitaille was scratched to make room. Alffy played 17:08 and did not factor in the scoring.

Colin Campbell announcing a new rule: "an unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty will be interpreted and applied, effective immediately, to a situation when an offensive player positions himself facing the opposition goaltender and engages in actions such as waving his arms or stick in front of the goaltenders face." Sean Avery is great – keep pushing the envelope. I love it when a player single-handedly makes a new rule! To see what Avery did, see yesterday's ramblings for the video.

The Preds scratched Brandon Bochenski.

Paul Stastny is pointless in three games so far in his first postseason. Ditto for Marian Gaborik. That's both team's top scorer – shut out.

Branko Radivojevic missed last night's contest with a knee injury and will probably not play tonight. Chris Simon got into the MIN lineup.

Vancouver fired GM Dave Nonis Monday. According to TSN, Nonis was very close to signing Fabian Brunnstrom, but this firing puts that in jeopardy.

As expected, the Coyotes signed their Hobey Baker winner Kevin Porter to an entry-level deal.

Barry Trotz played Alexander Radulov for 17 minutes and he picked up two points and the Preds won. Well whaddya know?

Dobber Nation – the debut episode of this Internet Radio show – is here .

Nicklas Backstrom, who finished the season second to Patrick Kane in rookie scoring, has signed a No.19 Washington jersey and whoever wins my FREE pool will get it. The good fellas at hockeyknight.com made this happen, so do me a favor and check out their site and sign up for the big announcement of their launch.
