Doctors are telling Kimmo Timonen that his blood clot can't get any worse and are giving him the green light to play tomorrow. Wow – talk about a boost for the Flyers. It should be a great game.

Braydon Coburn still "doesn't feel right". He did not skate yesterday.

Johan Franzen is a no-go for today. As I've been saying, they'll only rush him back if they need to. A loss today would put some urgency into getting him back for Game 6.

Carolina has confirmed that they will keep Peter Laviolette as their coach to start next season.

The Lightning are trying to sign Evgeny Artyukhin back from Russia and there is already talk of a line Artyukhin, Gratton and Nick Tarnasky as a crash line. The three combine to weigh 700 pounds. Artyukhin weighs 254 and had 282 PIMs in the RSL the last two seasons.

We've reached one of the dead zones of hockey news. Can't dig any up anywhere today…but if you want to read something hilarious by James Duthie, click here. ..
