Edmonton has acquired Lubomir Visnovsky from LA. Going the other way is Jarret Stoll and Matt Greene.

 

Brian Rolston's rights have been dealt to Tampa Bay. Malone-Stamkos-Rolston. Not too shabby.

 

Adam Foote has re-signed with the Avalanche on a two year deal. He will make $3 million per.

 

John-Michael Liles has re-signed with Colorado. He signed a four-year deal worth a total of $16 million.

 

The Canucks and the Sedin twins are close to a contract extension, believed to be in the neighbourhood of $5.5 million each. Steal.

 

Breaking news. Ryan Malone's deal is seven years. Wow. Teams will never learn.

Ray Emery is sitting on a multi-million dollar contract from a Russian team. He is obviously wanting to see if anyone in the NHL will have interest in his services.

 

Tampa Bay has signed both Gary Roberts and Ryan Malone. No details on the term or dollar amount yet.

 

The Columbus Blue Jackets are expected to go after center Brendan Morrison, possibly as a linemate for Rick Nash. The rumor is a three-year deal worth a total of $8 million.

 

Jaromir Jagr wants to return to the NHL, but he wants a two-year deal. The Rangers seem only prepared to offer him a one-year deal. Don't expect him to be in Russia next season, but he may leave the Big Apple.

Look for Carl Soderberg to be playing somewhere in North America next year. He is NHL-ready, but the Bruins have to find a spot for him on one of their top three lines. He is a big, skilled center who resembles Mats Sundin quite a bit.

Thanks to kozzie over at the forum, with the heads up on Nate Gerbe. He has been excellent at the Sabres prospect camp, dominating surefire NHL'ers like Andrej Sekera and Mike Weber. He is small, but incredibly fast and skilled. Darkhorse to make the team this year.

 

RDS is reporting that Tampa Bay and Gary Roberts have reeched an agreement on a deal. Hopefully TSN picks it up soon.

 

Michael Grabner had a fantastic prospect camp for Vancouver. He has added a ton of muscle (195 pounds currently), without losing a step in his wicked stride. He is a long shot to make the team, but he will definitely get a shot. Vancouver has a few under the radar rookies, including Grabner, Mason Raymond, and Jannik Hansen.

 

Tampa Bay has acquired the rights to both Ryan Malone and Gary Roberts. If they sign, both should line up with Stamkos next year on the second line. Bold move by the new owners in Tampa.

 

Duvie Wescott is going to be placed on waivers and bought out by the Jackets, according to several reports.

 

Alexei Zhitnik has been placed on waivers by Atlanta. Lots of house cleaning has been going on this off-season.

 

The Wild have signed defenseman Tomas Mojzis from Europe. Nothing too noteworthy here.
