The Bruins have avoided arbitration with Dennis Wideman, locking him up to a four year deal worth over $15 million. They are now over the salary cap.
Joffrey Lupul's four year extension has been confirmed as a $4.25 million cap hit per season.
Corey Crawford has signed a one-year deal with Chicago. It is likely a two-way, but that is not known at this time.
Peter Harrold has signed a three-year deal with the Kings, likely a one-way deal. He will be their QB this season, alongside JJ.
The Kings also traded Lauri Tukonen to the Stars for Richard Clune. Clune is a long ways off, and is ranked 427 on my Fantasy Prospects List. Tukonen is ranked 176 and is much closer, but is more of a checker.
The Pens re-signed Jeff Taffe and d-man Paul Bissonnette to one-year deals, and Jonathan Filewich to a two-year deal. Not certain the terms, but I would guess that they are all two-way deals.
The Red Wings have signed Jimmy Howard and Jonathan Ericsson to three-year contracts. I believe they are one-way deals, but that is unconfirmed. Since Howard will earn just $600K and Ericsson $550K next season, it is feasible that the Wings will give them that money to play in the minors. However, Ericsson is almost certain to make the team this year.
The Flames have signed Andre Roy to a one-year deal. This gives the team 13 forwards, hurting the chances of a Backlund making the squad. This signing should give Eric Nystrom a push.
The Ducks have signed Eric Boguniecki to a contract. I don't think he will make the pro roster, but It's certainly possible. If so, it would be at the expense of a Drew Miller-type, which wouldn't be good for the team in the long run.
