Dobber Sports

2008-08-06

I alluded to this a couple of weeks ago in the forum, and now the official news is released. Rogers has acquired PoolExpert Inc. Details can be found here. I had written their draft kit back in 2006 and I got Jeff Angus to do up their draft kit last summer. With the sale, there is a chance we won't be doing the Kit for them this year – all the more reason to just buy DobberHockey's…

Chris Clark is expected to be ready for training camp. He has been bothered by a groin injury for the better part of a year.

The Dispatch is reporting that Jared Boll broke his hand in a pickup hockey game last week, but expect it to be healed by camp.

I wrote today's Fantasy Spin for the Forecaster. Check it out here.

The Preds signed Tristan Grant to a one-year, two-way deal. The tough guy will compete for Hordichuk's former job… but that two-way deal will hurt his cause.

Jeff Giuliano and Brian Muir have signed with Dinamo Minsk of the KHL.

The Miami Herald reports that Chad Kilger will probably not play this season. Richard Zednik, however, is expected to be fine for training camp.

In tomorrow's edition of the Dobber Nation radio show, the boys are interviewing TSN.ca's Scott Cullen and Spector's Hockey's Lyle Richardson, as well as our own Jeff Angus.

If you haven't already – check out DobberBaseball and tell your baseball friends about it!

There is a promotion going on for the next week for DobberHockey swag – 25% off your order of two or more items. Just use the code CADSCHOOL308 and get 25% off shirts, hats and bags. My personal favorites are the sleeveless black DobberHockey shirt – great quality, lightweight, feels great to wear – and the white DobberHockey hat with pinstripes. Check out the full selection HERE .
