Japer's Rink has discovered that Michael Nylander has put his house up for sale. Take that for what it is worth.
The Kings have signed rearguard Drew Doughty to a three-year entry-level deal. The 18-year-old has a better than even chance of making the team this season, and if not – for sure next year. He is ranked 92nd on my Fantasy Prospects List – good for third amongst all prospect defensemen.
The Preds have signed 2008 draftee Chet Pickard to an entry-level deal. The rush on getting him signed is a little confusing, given that he is years away from being ready and that the team doesn't need to worry about signing 2008 draftees until 2010.
The Avs signed a pair of prospects – Tom Fritsche (250th in the FPL), and Nigel Williams (380). Neither will make the team this year.
The Sens have signed minor league rearguard Geoff Waugh to a one-year deal. If he ever makes the jump, his forte is stay-at-home, although he does give you PIMs.
The DobberHockey Fantasy Guide is updated about weekly all the way into October. The new "lowdown" feature has proven to be quite popular. If there is any player who you would like a "lowdown" on, please flip me an email: dobber at dobberhockey dot com. I can't beleive I only received two emails on this yesterday!
Dobberbaseball.com – if you know of a baseball fan, let them know about this great site. It already has 50 members of the forum, and it's not even two weeks old.
