Trivia answer - Phil Housley scored 10 in 15 games to start 1987-88. I would have also accepted Al Iafrate who did it in 19 games that same year (so technically he was the "last" person to do it).  Five Karma for the first correct answer in "NHL Rumors" section of the forum. Name the last [...]

There is no solace that comes with losing your starting goaltender due to injury. There’s no extra IR spot on the roster or free agent acquisition to be made, there’s no antidote to fix the scar. Live with it and move on. Roberto Luongo has been placed on the gurney, clad in white sheets and neatly lined up next to Rick DiPietro, Kari Lehtonen, Martin Brodeur, and for now Evgeni Nabokov and Marc-Andre Fleury.

 morrow

 Morrow

Thursday night we lost one of the most important fantasy players in the world for the rest of the regular season. Not only was Brenden Morrow a multi-category stud, but he also played one of the most difficult positions to fill in fantasy hockey – left wing.

But his torn ACL does not just impact Brenden Morrow owners. Far from it. For better or for worse, owners of any player in the Dallas organization will feel this one.

The long-term injury to Frans Nielsen could secure Bailey's spot in the lineup beyond the nine-game mark. Bailey has two points in six games and his 16:58 of ice time last night was the first time he topped 15 minutes. The Dobber Nation Radio Show with Andrew Walker will appear on the 25th of every month [...]

Get the jump on Curtis Sanford and Cory Schneider - if you can't get one, go for the other because you don't know how this will play out. my money is on Luongo missing 3-7 games and Schneider winning the job, but Sanford is also capable short-term. If you are in a roto league desperate [...]

Angus here. BREAKING NEWS: Brenden Morrow is done for the season with a torn ACL. Dobber's analysis to come in tomorrow's ramblings. Not to belittle the seriousness of Todd White's concussion last night, but we all knew he was a Band-Aid Boy. He has 15 points in 18 games and you should have been cherishing every one [...]

Back-to-back games are a part of every NHL team's schedule.  Back-to-back games can be an indication of when a back-up goalie is played which could help you grab valuable goalie points.  Most teams have between 11 and 18 back to back games over the course of the whole season. Colorado gets away with only eight times back-to-back and the Blue Jackets have 20 such situations - that is almost half their games.
