Welcome once again to “An Expert’s Audit”. This audit will also be posted here as well as on my fantasy hockey blog at www.fantasyhockey.hockeyanalysis.com . During the season I also do weekly reviews of teams for people who email in to me for a look-see. These audits will continue to appear here monthly and if you’re interested in having your keeper team “worked over” then you can begin by emailing Dobber about it.

Defenseman Steve McCarthy has signed to play in the KHL.  DobberHockey's Jeff Angus is reporting the Canucks have signed AHL star Jason Krog to a one-way contract, meaning he'll finally get another chance in the NHL. He needs an extended, lengthy shot on the second line and if he gets one he bears watching.  Goodbye Jozef [...]

Hey guys, Angus here. Busy few days for me. Anyway, some updates in the afternoon. The Canucks have signed the skilled Jason Krog to a one year, one-way deal. This is essentially going to be a replacement for either Matt Pettinger ($1.1 million) or Taylor Pyatt ($1.5 million) in Vancouver's bottom six. The Senators have apparently signed [...]

Crosby Malkin

There always has been (and always will be) an ongoing debate about who is the best player in the league. Gretzky and Lemieux battled over the title for a long time, and after them it was the likes of Jagr, Sakic, Forsberg, and Fedorov. Lately it has included Iginla, Thornton and Lecavalier, but the future is really about three players. Crosby, Ovechkin, and Malkin. This article is about my take on the battle for NHL supremacy.

The Tennessean is reporting that Steve Sullivan's bad episodes with his back are becoming shorter. He has skated three times in the past week and says that it is more of an exhaustion thing than a pain thing, as he tries to get into shape. He is resolute in saying that he will be back, [...]

It is a tight race, but guess who currently leads all prospects in fantasy hockey value - see the updated Fantasy Prospects List here .  Sergei Fedorov signed a one-year, $4 million deal with Washington. He should be good for 50-55 points there. Any other team would have been much lower.  Kyle Wanvig has signed to play [...]

Here's an interesting one: the revamped Lightning have signed Brandon Bochenski to a two-year deal. The deal is two-way for this year, but one-way for next year. A pure goalscorer, Bochenski is one of those guys that cannot be expected to play strong defense. He's other on the top line, or in the press box. [...]
