Dobber’s Midseason Fantasy Hockey Guide
Dobber Sports
2009-01-05
It's back. On January 9, 2009 the third annual Midseason Guide will be available to you for download – assuming you have the brains to buy it, of course.
Because the Midseason Guide is every bit as important as the summer's Fantasy Hockey Guide. Granted, you aren't starting from scratch, but you need to see the job through that you started in September. Whether you are in a rotisserie league, a H2H league, or a keeper league, you – maybe not you in particular, but many of you – emailed about me updating the Fantasy Guide later in October. You guys would have me update that thing into December if you knew I would listen.
Well this is a January update, just in time for your midseason draft or your upcoming trade deadline.
All the players who will play a game in the NHL this year – I give you a) their current pace, b) their historical 1st vs. 2nd half performance of the last two seasons, and c) MY prediction of their final 40 games. You also get their actual line combos that they have been using in early January as well as the power-play units for every team.
Furthermore, the DobberHockey writers give you their analysis:
Matt Bugg gives you the rookies/prospects on each team to keep an eye on for a recall.
Jeff Angus gives you a detailed analysis on the trading block, including potential UFAs and RFAs
Eric Maltais gives you his analysis on PIMs, plus/minus and other "lesser-used" stats to give you that edge in deeper leagues.
Justin Goldman, as only he can, gives you the lowdown on team goaltending.
Ryan Ma and Russ Miller dig up some interesting trends to watch for.
