Cory Schneider has been re-assigned to Manitoba (AHL) as Curits Sanford has been cleared to play. Expect the Canucks to ride Jason Labarbera, though. He has been very solid through three games.

 

Marco Sturm will probably have knee surgery once everything settles down in the area. The team isn't saying "done for the season" but… 

 

Jaroslav Halak has a SP of .860 in the two games that Price has been out. The team is hoping that Price can dress as the backup Wednesday, and start the game after that. He has a LBI.

 

Cory Stillman played under 15 minutes last night and was a minus-3. I'm not counting on a big bounceback for Stillman going forward. He is on pace for 45 and that is where he'll end up.

 

It was a bit of a rough Game 2 for Max Pacioretty. The rookie was pointless and a minus-2. He saw over four minutes on the PP though.

 

The Kostitsyn brothers were a combined four points and plus-6 on the day yesterday.

 

David Booth has eight points in his last five games.

 

D-man Steve Eminger has 15 points in 27 games since joining TB. He had another two last night.

 

That sound you heard was Antoine Vermette's hockey bag hitting the dressing room floor. He's finally shown up for the 2008-09 season. Give him four points in his last five games. His best five-game clip all year.

Iginla, Cammalleri and Phaneuf – a combined minus-11 last night.

 

Rene Bourque has 11 points in his last 10 contests. He has seen more than 17 minutes of ice time in five of his last six games. Prior to that, he saw more than 17 minutes in just eight of 33 games. His responsibility is increasing.

 

Kyle Turris and Keith Yandle were healthy scratches for the 'Yotes.

 

Bobby Ryan is still rolling – he has 21 points in 22 games this season and is a plus-11 to boot. He has 11 points in his last eight games. He has seen 18 minutes of ice time in three of his last four contests. Prior to that, he had never seen that kind of ice time.

 

Daniel Carcillo has been scratched for three of his last six games and has played fewer than 10 minutes in the last four games that he did dress. Time to bench him for now.

 

Bryan Little left last night's contest with a rib injury. Consider him day to day.
