Jussi “the Other” Jokinen Traded to ‘Canes

The Carolina Hurricanes have picked up forward Jussi Jokinen from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Wade Brookbank, Josef Melichar and a fourth-round draft pick in the 2009 Entry Draft.
Tampa Bay gets: some depth and what is actually a pretty good pick.
Carolina gets: some much-needed help up front. The injuries to Staal, Walker and Brind'Amour are making things desperate.
Fantasy Players Impacted: Jokinen owners can rejoice, as he has gone to the team that has made producers out of Matt Cullen and Sergei Samsonov when they were left for dead. I think we can safely say that J. Jokinen had been left for dead in fantasy circles. In Carolina, he should be a 55-point player again with upside in the low 60s. When the injured players return, Jokinen is a thread to the ice time of Samsonov and Tuomo Ruutu – one of them could be bumped off the Staal line, if Jokinen impresses early.
