Jakub Voracek missed last night's contest with a head injury.

Mike Green has scored in six straight games. This is a d-man we're talking about here.

Michael Ryder's facial fracture will keep him out indefinitely – I think we're looking at three weeks, plus three more with a shield, but that's just a guess.

Ilya Kovalchuk's wife gave birth yesterday – do not be shocked if he misses today's game.

Interesting stat I read on philly.com – Niittymaki, who will get the start today, is 12-0 against Atlanta (whom they play)

Mike Richards and Scottie Upshall (flu) have missed two games already and will probably miss a third.

Fabian Brunnstrom injured his ankle in that 10-2 shelacking Friday. He may not play today.

Good to see the old Sergei Samsonov back – four points last night. But is he here to stay? Eric Staal kept his iron man streak going by lacing them up as well.

Olli Jokine has 13 points in his last 25 games. Interestingly enough, so does Joakim Lindstrom. It's hard to imagine that if you traded Jokinen back in December for a couple of great draft picks and picked up Lindstrom off the waiver wire, you'd have been treading water for this season and shored up your future at the same time!

Marty Turco is 20-10-4 in his last 34 decisions.

Tomas Vanek may have a broken jaw. He took a slap shot off it and left last night's game. It does sound serious.

My interview yesterday on Sirius 98. If I seemed out of it, I was – especially at the beginning. That's what babies do to your brain!

Big announcement – hopefully tomorrow afternoon. If you live in Southern Ontario, you will have to see what's coming down the pipeline…

Injuries and outjuries include a pair of goalies returning to their teams in Ingram and Shesterkin, as well as how Monahan’s wrist injury opens the door for big minutes for Fantilli. Finally, the pair touch on Voronkov and PLD’s hot streaks, and discuss John Carlson’s rollercoaster in light of Chychrun’s production.

Keeping Karlsson: Tuch Hunch

On this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast mega-show, Elan and Brian tour every team, ranking a slate of the least bad goalies, noticing the wind in some Red Wings’ and Stars’ sails, dangling snoozer status above a pair of commonly rostered power-play quarterbacks, and rushing or strolling, accordingly, to some skaters on the up and up.
