The NHL trade deadline in 2009 will be on Wednesday, March 4 at 3 pm. Expect one trade by 11am, one trade by 1pm…and then between 2pm and 6pm you can expect a good 20. On March 3, the night before, there will be two or three trades announced as well.
Every year, DobberHockey.com is first in getting you the fantasy analysis of each trade on deadline day. No, we're not claiming to be the fastest in announcing the trades – we'll leave that to the Canadian television networks TSN and Sportsnet.

When a trade is announced, we have all the data at our fingertips – depth charts, salary charts, player statistics…so within minutes, the fantasy hockey breakdown of the trade is posted. Sometimes – the breakdown is posted so quickly that we actually do beat the TSN and Sportsnet websites…and they were the ones who announced it on TV!
