Player UFA GP G A PTS +/- PIM PP SOG Pct TOI PPTOI
Kaberle, Tomas D TOR 57 4 27 31 -8 8 19 93 4.3 23.46 4.71
Was on pace for another excellent season, but his points-per-game averaged has declined slightly in each of the past three seasons.
Kalinin, Dmitri D PHO X 73 2 15 17 -9 32 3 67 3 17.67 1.14
Could do better, but he’s not used in an offensive role so his production will remain limited.
Kane, Patrick RW CHI 80 25 45 70 -2 42 35 254 9.8 18.66 4.21
Will hit 80 points next season.
Kariya, Paul LW STL 11 2 13 15 1 2 9 31 6.5 18.10 4.24
Too bad he got injured, he could have had a 70-point season. Bet on 60 in 2009-10.
Keith, Duncan D CHI 77 8 36 44 33 60 11 173 4.6 25.57 2.47
Keith has improved each of his four NHL seasons, but he’s limited by the presence of Campbell and Barker who take the top power play minutes.
Kelly, Chris C OTT 82 12 11 23 -10 38 0 118 10.2 15.61 0.11
He’s not paid for his offense, but the team still expects him to score at least 30 points.
Kennedy, Tyler C PIT 67 15 20 35 15 30 2 171 8.8 13.77 1.33
Developing into a nice third/fourth liner who can put up 40 points.
Kesler, Ryan C VAN 82 26 33 59 8 61 18 179 14.5 19.46 2.36
Kesler has improved each year during his five year career, he’s now reached his peak.
Kessel, Phil C BOS 70 36 24 60 23 16 15 232 15.5 16.55 2.38
He struggled big time when he came back from mono, but his goal scoring ability is for real and health permitting he could score 40 next season.
Klein, Kevin D NSH 63 4 8 12 -2 19 1 41 9.8 12.66 0.43
Has some offensive talent, but will need to play elsewhere to be able to showcase it.
Knuble, Mike RW PHI X 82 27 20 47 5 62 20 173 15.6 18.16 2.94
His production dipped slightly as expected and it should continue to drop as he turns 37 this summer.
Kobasew, Chuck RW BOS 68 21 21 42 5 56 9 129 16.3 14.71 1.55
He will score 25 goals one of these years and I’d bet on 2009-10.
Koci, David D/LW TB X 37 1 1 2 1 141 0 13 7.7 5.95 0.04
If he plays on a semi regular basis he’ll have some value since no defenceman can rack up the PIMs liek he can.
Koistinen, Ville D NSH X 38 3 8 11 0 14 5 42 7.1 14.71 2.80
There was no room for Koistinen in Nashville with Weber and Suter running things, but he could man a top PP unit on the right team.
Koivu, Mikko C MIN 79 20 47 67 2 66 26 236 8.5 21.49 3.64
Doesn’t receive enough support around him to take it to another level, but expect 70 points next year.
Koivu, Saku C MON X 65 16 34 50 4 44 17 123 13 17.05 3.60
With the injury risk and the decline in level of play, don’t count on him for more than 50 points.
Kopecky, Tomas C DET X 79 6 13 19 -7 46 3 110 5.5 10.41 0.30
Don’t expect more than 20 points.
Kopitar, Anze C LA 82 27 39 66 -17 32 23 234 11.5 20.45 3.85
I expected 90 points from Kopitar, not only did it not happen, but he regressed. I’m still confident he’ll top 80 next season.
Korpikoski, Lauri C NYR 68 6 8 14 -10 14 0 63 9.5 10.91 0.24
Expect a small improvement next season and it’ll be bonus if he exceeds 30 points.
Kostitsyn, Andrei RW MON 74 23 18 41 -7 50 15 169 13.6 15.59 3.07
Despite being the Habs second best goal scorer, he has struggled more often than not. His desire is often questioned, but he has the talent to score 65-70 points next season.
Kostitsyn, Sergei LW MON 56 8 15 23 -3 64 10 74 10.8 14.15 2.37
Did not make any progress at all this season. Watch him closely next year to see if he can take his play to another level.
Kostopoulos, Tom RW MON X 78 8 14 22 -1 106 0 121 6.6 14.14 0.35
Has scored exactly 22 points in four of his last five seasons.
Kotalik, Ales LW EDM X 75 20 23 43 -5 34 21 208 9.6 15.45 2.85
It took him two weeks to get going with his new team, but he was blazing hot after that with seven goals and 11 points in the last 13 games. I expect him to top his career high of 25 goals next season if he re-signs in Edmonton.
Kovalchuk, Ilya LW ATL 79 43 48 91 -12 50 36 275 15.6 21.80 5.80
Rebounded nicely after a tough first half with 25 goals in a 29 game span.
Kovalev, Alexei RW MON X 78 26 39 65 -4 74 32 209 12.4 19.43 4.23
Saved an awful season with tremendous play in the last few weeks, but is too nonchalant to count on. Probably won’t be back in Montreal.
Kozlov, Slava LW ATL 82 26 50 76 -14 44 43 165 15.8 17.24 4.28
Finished second to Ovechkin in PP points, won’t repeat that feat so his numbers are bound to drop.
Kozlov, Viktor C WAS X 67 13 28 41 -9 16 15 153 8.5 15.65 2.38
Were it not for injury, Kozlov would have registered a third straight season in the 50 to 55 point range.
Krajicek, Lukas D TB 71 2 17 19 -8 48 2 66 3 19.62 0.77
Doesn’t look like we’ll ever see the offensive ability he showed in junior.
Krejci, David C BOS 82 22 51 73 37 26 19 146 15.1 16.84 2.39
Biggest surprises amongst the top 40 scorers, expect the same from Krejci next season.
Kreps, Kamil C FLA 66 4 15 19 3 18 0 77 5.2 13.97 0.42
Will be a career fourth liner.
Kronwall, Niklas D DET 80 6 45 51 2 50 22 121 5 22.89 2.92
Imagine if he was a top-2 defenseman on this team.
Kuba, Filip D OTT 71 3 37 40 4 28 26 111 2.7 23.28 4.51
As the team’s power play quarterback he’ll have another 40-point season.
Kubina, Pavel D TOR 82 14 26 40 -15 94 22 184 7.6 22.05 3.53
You can rely on a half point per game production.
Kulemin, Nikolai LW TOR 73 15 16 31 -8 18 9 129 11.6 13.80 1.63
Loved what I saw from the rookie. I think we’re looking at a 50-point season next year.
Kunitz, Chris LW PIT 82 23 30 53 12 71 12 178 12.9 16.43 2.26
Playing with Crosby, he should have no problem surpassing his career high of 25 goals and 60 points.
