Eric Maltais, who pens Croaks, from the Fantasy Frog, gives you his take on most of the players from a fantasy standpoint. Some may differ from what you find in the DobberHockey Fantasy Guide, but it’s good to have several viewpoints.

Very, very inconsistent, had 10 multi-point games despite his low overall total. His ice time has suffered a huge drop if it wasn’t for his huge contract I would have expected him to be traded.

Really expected more from Phaneuf following three seasons of at least 17 goals and his 60 points last year. His power play production hasn’t been up to par, expect a big rebound next season.

If you don’t know the trend, here is Prospal’s point production over the last seven seasons; 55,79,54,80,55,71,45. The trend would indicate a big year in 2009-10, but I’m not buying into it.

While he was decent in Phoenix, I really don’t think he can reach 40 points next season.
