Crawford ahead of Niemi? – May 23, 2009

2009-05-23
Puck Daddy, a guest on the last Dobber Nation, reports on Sean Avery's new bar that he opened. Just an interesting read.
Nikolai Khabibulin left last night's contest with a lower body injury. Huet came on and did not allow a goal in the third period nor in the brief OT. I would expect Huet to get the start next contest.
Corey Crawford dressed as the third goalie and he suddenly became the backup. That leads me to believe that he is still No.3 ahead of Niemi.
I don't care what the official word is in Chicago – Havlat is done for the series. Did you see him? He was in la-la land after taking that monster hit from Kronwall. Kronwall knocked him into the next century. Footage below.
Ville Leino played 9:42 last night. No surprise there. If you go to our "Fantasy Tools" section (accessed either via the tab at the top, or via the menu on the left) you can click "line combos" and select Ville Leino for the latest playoff game, you can see that he played two-thirds of the game on the fourth line, and a third of the game with either Zetterberg or Hossa. Top six, as I mused yesterday.
There were late updates in yesterday's ramblings, FYI, if you want to check them out by clicking "next" below.
Havlat go bye-bye:
