TSN has great coverage of the draft combine, which can be found here .

Marek Zagrapan, who was ranked 61 on my prospects list, has signed to play in the KHL next year. Yep, he drops down the list…

Red Wings injuries: Nick Lidstrom will play in Game 1; Kris Draper will not play in the first two games; Jonathan Ericsson is "questionable" for Game 1; Tomas Kopecky (orbital bone) will not play at all in the series; Once again Pavel Datsyuk is questionable – but like I said, I don't think we'll see him until the Wings are in trouble (WHEN they're in trouble – that's right, I said it).

The Habs have signed former Red Wings draft pick Mikael Johansson to a one-year two-way deal.  The fact that he is a former Detroit pick catches my interest, but the fact that it's a two-way deal gives me pause. He was outscored by his Farjestads teammates – former NHL prospects Rickard Wallin, Jesper Mattsson and Eero Suomervuori – but he is younger then they are (23). Another teammate of his, Dick Axelsson, had more points per game. Best I can nail down looking at the SEL stats (with little else to go on), I would put his upside in the mid-60s. His odds of getting there are 30% and his odds of becoming an NHLer full time is 60%.

The Oilers have signed defenseman Alex Plante to an ELC. Potentially, he could be a 30-point, 120+ minute rearguard. He won't make the team next season.

Simon Gagne underwent hip surgery yesterday, just two days after his wife had a baby. I refuse to say whether his hip surgery was a success or not. I have my pride.

Rod Brind'Amour told the News/Observer that he has no plans to retire this summer.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk.
