The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed defenseman Mattias Ohlund to a seven-year deal worth $3.75 per year. Very cap friendly.

Fantasy Impact: Ohlund's points-per-game should actually increase, as it looks as though he and Victor Hedman will man the top PP.

Matt Lashoff's odds of sticking on the team just dropped from 100 percent to about 80.

Paul Ranger will not see any power-play time now, not that he saw much before – but his offense should slip as a result.

📢 advertisement:

Andrej Meszaros will slip to the second PP. Any hope of a 40-plus point season should be out the window here.

Mike Smith's outlook just improved – Ohlund is a stud defensively.

This can only help the rookie Hedman.
