All’s Quiet… Sept. 07, 2009

Man, there is little to talk about today. Late last week it looked like the news was starting to flow for good, but now it’s like the calm before the storm. Training camps open this weekend and prospect tournaments are already underway. Our own Steve Johnson is covering the one in Kitchener, you can read about it on the home page. Other tidbits I picked up – Jamie Benn was injured in the Traverse City Tournament, but he later returned. Also, Flyers’ GM Holmgren has stated that JVR will compete for a left wing spot against Patrick Maroon. That’s interesting because I didn’t see Maroon having a shot this year. Shows how far he’s come.

I hope to update the Fantasy Guide late today or tomorrow. Starting next week, the updates will happen every two to three days. Today’s update will probably not include updating the spreadsheet, as there will only be a handful of changes. But the update after that (probably Monday the 14th) it will be updated.
