Bruised shoulder for Liles – out for two weeks.

Regarding Bozak – I think because the Leafs play just once in the next 10 days, that he will be sent down, but called back up – and then sent down again. He needs game action.

Lindy Ruff is now stating that Vanek may only be out for a few days – with an outside chance of returning this weekend. He just wants to toy with fantasy poolies ;)

The NHL’s leading plus/minus man – Jan Hejda – is out for the next month with a sprained knee. Since he is a defensive rearguard, Mathieu Roy will probably take his spot in the lineup, as opposed to keeping Stralman or Russell in full time. Although, it certainly can’t hurt the above two guys – more ice time to go around. Hejda crept onto fantasy radars last year with a modest point total and strong plus/minus numbers, which was great for a lot of roto leagues.

John Glennon gives us these lines in the NSH practice: Arnott, with Sully and Horny; Legwand with Santorelli and Jones; Wilson with Erat and Ward. Wilson was pointless and a minus-1, playin 16:41 in his first NHL game Monday.

Matt Lombardi missed the last contest against the Sharks with a lower body injury. Phoenix is one of the worst markets for hockey coverage (go figure) so I can’t dig up even a ballpark as to how long he is out.

Darren Helm made his season debut last night for the Wings, playing 16 minutes. He’s going to be one of the best third-line centers in the game one day very soon.

Sami Salo will be out until late November with a sprained right MCL. Mat Schneider is not eligible to return until October 25.

Tomas Vanek will be out for several weeks with an upper body injury. More details as I get ’em. While Dan Paille has been sitting in the press box, this still opens up a spot for a recall of Nate Gerbe who has three points in four AHL games.

JM Liles looked like he separated his shoulder. Again – details are sketchy right now, but I’ll post when I hear more.

Vesa Toskala is out 10-14 days with a knee injury. Leafs only play once in the next 10 days anyway.

Tyler Bozak had an assist in his NHL debut. That should be enough to get him in the lineup next game. Viktor Stalberg returned from his mild concussion. I think someone else will sit next contest and Stajan and Hagman will get back in. The Leafs – still winless, so another shakeup is needed.

Chris Osgood got the hook – five goals on 22 shots. He had a tough year last year. This one will be much worse.

Todd Bertuzzi – one point in five games and a minus-2 this season.
