Roberto Luongo

It’s Christmas day and I am working 24 hours.  I am fresh off a 10 day cruise that saw my buddy get married for the 2nd time.  I got hypnotized on the boat and made a complete fool of myself.  What an amazing trip!  I have been on fire with my bookie recently and have won roughly $2900.00 in the last 5 days of NHL action.  I made a posting in our forum before Wednesday’s games previewing my picks.  I went 10 for 11 and was two Florida goals away from a perfect night.  If that had happened, I would have won $1600, but instead I only won $600.  Either way, I am on fire and I hope it continues for you all on Boxing Day, here are my thoughts and picks:

Merry Christmas!   From myself, Angus and the DobberHockey crew - have a safe and enjoyable day. Try to only think of your fantasy hockey squad seven or eight times today.   Still need a hockey fix? Posted some videos for you to enjoy!   Ilya Bryzgalov has been a monster all season for the stingy Coyotes. I am flying down to Phoenix to get a first-hand scouting report next week! Going to catch the Coyotes/Canucks game on December 29th.   Expect Michael Grabner to be called up shortly if he performs [...]

Fantasy hockey is an exercise in decision making.  Successful fantasy GMs are separated from their less decorated peers by virtue of their decisions.  That’s not to say that plain old dumb luck isn’t a factor – we all know it is.  But despite this, we bravely do our best to anticipate trends, or at worst, we try to react effectively to unforeseen events.

Malkin's points-per-game: 1.09 as a rookie, then 1.29, 1.38 and then in this past postseason 1.50. Steady increase. He's either playing hurt or he's about to go nutty with the points very soon, because his 1.13 on the season is wrong wrong wrong - the stat will right itself. Mark it!   Kari Lehtonen took [...]
