Down the Stretch Contest – The Final Week

The final week of NHL action is almost upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with a contest? The entrant with the most points at the end of the week running from April 5 until April 11 will receive a signed 8×10 photograph of Dallas Star captain and Team Canada gold medalist Brenden Morrow. To reward our loyal DobberHockey members, those with over 1000 posts on the forums will be given a slight advantage in winning. However, if you make a shrewd selection this week, it won't matter if you don't even post at all.

Read the rules below carefully!

For the final week, the stats counted will be power play points, shots on goal, and penalty minutes. Select TWO (DobberHockey members with over 1000 posts will get to select THREE and have the best TWO counted) from the following list, and their numbers will be combined to produce the overall total for the week.

Each power play point (doesn't matter if it is a goal or an assist) will count as THREE points, and each shot on goal will count as ONE point. For example, say a player finishes the week with three power play points and 11 shots on goal – that would be 20 points for the week.

Finally, select one player from the second list for penalty minutes. Each penalty minute will be worth one point. That total will be added to the total from the first two players for your cumulative score for the week.

Scoring will run from Monday April 5th to Sunday April 11th, 2010.
