DobberHockey member mister_mcgoo breaks down the intangibles of the four remaining teams – Montreal, Philadelphia, San Jose, and Chicago.

Future Oiler Taylor Hall scored a slick, slick goal last night as the Memorial Cup kicked off in Brandon. Video evidence below. His goal came very soon after he was absolutely leveled by Islanders prospect and Brandon defenseman Travis Hamonic.

James Mirtle with a very interesting piece on dental-related probems in the NHL. Keith Tkachuk is going to need about six operations to fix his problems!

The fantasy hockey mailbag is a go today! Fire me your questions in this thread.

The New Jersey Devils have signed Mattias Tedenby (2008 1st round pick) and Jacob Josefson (2009 1st round pick) to entry level contracts. The 2010 Prospect Report will tell you all you need to know about the two! With changes expected in New Jersey this summer, at least one of them should be on the opening night roster for next season.

It sounds like the concussion Steve Stamkos sustained isn’t serious. He is hoping to play tomorrow. Great news for both Stamkos owners and the Lightning.

The 7th and 8th seed are battling for the Eastern Conference title. I’ll post some of my thoughts later on today, and the panel’s picks will be up as well.

I forgot to mention this a few days ago… but Carolina made a trade involving Staal. Definitely doesn't have the same shock value it would have if I posted it on the correct day… oh well. I don't see Jared Staal having much upside – he has done little to improve in the OHL over the past few years with Sudbury. He had only 12 goals in 59 games with the Wolves in 2009-10.

DobberHockey Playoff Challenge Update coming…. Thanks again to Easton Hockey for supplying us with a beauty stick, and to Cool Hockey for delivering a fully customizable NHL jersey. If you win, who are you putting on it? What team? Why? I am ineligible to win (and in about 400th place, so a double whammy), but I'd probably opt for a Datsyuk Red Wings jersey if given the choice.

Evgeni Malkin is overrated, according to this fantastic piece written by Kent Wilson. This may or may not be relevant to fantasy hockey, as Malkin will probably continue to receive heavy PP minutes. But it is something to chew on for sure…

Dobber’s 2010 Prospect Report – read all about it here! You can buy it now, and it will be available for download on June 1st. Matt Bugg’s famous 2010 Mock Entry Draft will be included as well. The guide will be available in French – check out the link for that version here. Support the site!

Why is Dan Hamhuis a great sleeper defenseman for next season? Check this discussion out.

It sounds like Cory Schneider will probably see 20-25 starts next year. The Canucks felt they overplayed Luongo a bit, and looking at the remaining goalies, only Nabokov played more than 50 games this season. In fact, he is the first goalie who started more than 70 games to advance past the first round since 2003 – pretty convincing statistic right there.

Could Stamkos have scored 65-70 goals this season with a little more puck luck? Perhaps – read this article to find out why.

What if Philly didn’t believe in comebacks? Emphasis on the plural, of course.
