Capitals Acquire Arnott

Fantasy Impact: The Washington Capitals have acquired Jason Arnott from the New Jersey Devils for David Steckel and a second-round draft pick.
The Caps get: their second-line center, assuming Arnott has a bit of the old magic left in him.
The Devils get: a tough depth player and some salary relief for this year, but Steckel is signed for a couple more years after this one. They get a top draft pick, which was the key. Hell, they could buy out Steckel.
Fantasy Players Impacted: Arnott, when healthy, still has 60-point talent and he’ll see his potential in Washington. He’ll see a lot of time with Alexander Semin, which should help both players. Arnott is on pace for 31 points. He should end up with 40 to 45. He is pointless in his last eight, which speaks volumes seeing as the Devils were winning like crazy and he wasn’t helping that. Still, linemates will help in a big way. This move will keep Mathieu Perreault in the minors and Marcus Johansson on the third line.
Fantasy Players this helps, in order:
1. Arnott
Fantasy Players this hurts, in order:
1. Perreault
2. Johansson
