While the number of quality players moved on this year’s trade deadline was rather disappointing, there were still a number of movements made. Below I’ll take a look at the moves made in the Eastern Conference on the actual deadline day, as well as a handful of others that happened within the week or so leading up to the deadline. Along with the actual trades being listed, I will also take a look at the fantasy impact (or potential impact) for each team that made a move.

TSN is reporting that Mike Cammalleri will not face his former mates because he is out with an upper body injury.   The Oilers have recalled Linus Omark from the AHL. I'd love to see this work out, because he's a dynamic player and if he doesn't make headway this year I'd be worried [...]

Bugg here. Bizarro happenings in the OHL this afternoon. The Erie Otters were already down a goaltender with an injury to back-up Devin Williams. They then lost starter Ramis Sadikov less than two minutes into the game! 2012-eligible center Connor Crisp was forced into net, and has made six saves on nine shots so far. [...]

The playoff picture is slowly, yet increasingly become clearer. Some franchises are surging, some collapsing. Scoring races are beginning to crystallize as the 3 headed monster of Malkin, Stamkos & Giroux have set themselves apart from the crop. The triumph in cementing a spot in the top 16, the disappointment Leaf Nation of missing the playoffs each and every single post lockout season. I can hardly wait to see how these last six weeks unfold.

Without further ado, this weekend’s Six-Pack!

Ryan Miller's sensational play continued last night - he now has back to back shutouts, after stopping 39 shots against the Sharks.   Cody Hodgson's line produced the only goal, but he didn't factor in to it. Stafford scored, from Ennis. Hodgson played over 18 minutes - by far his highest total of the [...]
