Anthony Lancione lets us know how the games on Saturday will play out.

En fuego! Good afternoon poolies. Hope you've been following this steamboat the last few weeks, as we at DobberHockey have been On the Money! Last columns I followed up a 5-for-6 week by running off with a clean sweep, correctly nailing 11 of my last 12 picks! Last week Marty started off in a small hole before nailing all 4 night caps to continue the strong momentum forward.

Lets try to keep this hot streak rolling and get right into the six-pack slate for this Saturday.

 Stats as of Friday morning

Winning % on the season= 73%
Previous Week Record= Perfect 6-0!

NY Rangers @ Pittsburgh (1:00pm ET)
By the Numbers – Frozen Pools

Who would have thought a few weeks back that the NHL scoring leaders would be led by a 1-2 punch out of Pittsburgh, with neither man named Evgeni Malkin?! The Pittsburgh Penguins have just been absolutely demolishing everything in their path of late, Geno or no-Geno! Sidney is doing his best impression of Joe Thornton turning Cheechoo into a Maurice Richard Trophy winner with Chris Kunitz, having exploded for 22 points in his past nine outings, including a five assist night to pace the league in scoring. The Pens themselves have won seven straight and don't look to be slowing down. The Rangers on the outside looking in on the East Playoff race have scored a paltry 62 goals compared to Pittsburgh’s 101. That's an absolutely massive differential less than two months into the season.

Ottawa @ Buffalo (3:00pm ET)

By the Numbers – Frozen Pools

The Sens had originally fared quite well after the unceremonious injuries to Vezina candidate, Craig Anderson, Norris man, Erik Karlsson, and Spezza and Michalek. However, it appears their lack of star power has slowly begun to catch up to the depleted Ottawa squad, having only won once in regulation in their past seven matches, dating back to February 25th. That being said, they've at least managed to hold on to their top-8 spot by taking their opponents to OT or shootouts in four of those six recent losses. Meanwhile, the Sabres and Ryan Miller have been dreadful, toiling at the bottom of the conference in 14th place. A win against the recently struggling Rangers last time out was a positive sign though and may be what Buffalo needed to start putting some wins together.

Minnesota @ Colorado (3:00pm ET)
By the Numbers – Frozen Pools

Minnesota has been all over the map of late with slow individual starts and prospect promise not yet fulfilled (see: Mikael Granlund). They have been a little better of late though winning three of their past five, having crept their way up into a massive tie for 5th place in the West. Backstrom has been solid of late, and the twin summer super signings have begun to show their worth, with Parise tallying six points in his past four contests and Ryan Suter netting a fantastic 12 points in his last 9 games from the blue line, and leading all defensemen in the league with a remarkable 20 assists on the year total! Colorado meanwhile have been starting to getting their manpower back with O'Reilly finally returning  to the fold and Landeskog having shaken off his 'concussion-like' symptoms, and even having netted his first goal since returning last game.

Pick

Winnipeg @ Toronto (7:00pm ET)
By the Numbers – Frozen Pools

The Leafs started off great in 2013 and were looking to be able to maintain a playoff spot, but like last year a slump in the second half is starting to rear its ugly head. Prior to this week, Toronto had yet to lose more than two games in a row all season. That  futility streak has now been doubled to four straight losses, one of which was against these very Jets at the MTS Centre. Revenge will be on the Buds’ minds as well as avoiding a spirit-breaking skid. The Jets are coming off a win against the Rangers, and are 7-2-1 in their past 10, now just a solo point back of Toronto as they battle for that seventh spot.

Winnipeg in SO)

Carolina @ Tampa Bay (7:00pm ET)
By the Numbers – Frozen Pools

Tampa Bay continues to be wildly inconsistent this year, scoring in bunches, or seemingly not at all. They were shutout by the lowly Islanders last  game, yet have recorded five games in the past month where they lit the lamp between four and eight times in a single game, but also had half a dozen outing with only one or less goals scored. Marty St.Louis and Steven Stamkos continue to be the torch bearers through the ups and downs, sitting at 2nd in NHL assists and 1st in goals scored, respectively. Carolina has really been aided by Alexander Semin this year. The often-sniper has been more of a set up man though, doling out a whopping 12 assists in his past 10 games and finding the twine five times along the way in his resurgence.

Pick
Tampa Bay – Home Team Win- H(ProLine)

Chicago @ Dallas (8:00pm ET)
By the Numbers – Frozen Pools

The Hawks, still relatively fresh off their NHL record setting 24 game regulation time undefeated streak, finally ran out of gas, allowing a dozen goals in back to back losses to the Avalanche and Oilers. However, with three days off midweek to catch their breath and rejuvenated, Chicago got back to defensive basics defeating the surging BlueJackets in shootouts 2-1. They are still undoubtedly the hunted, sitting in the President's Trophy zone for the time being, and will be attacked as the team to beat. The Stars, sans-Benn, come into this one having lost three in a row and will be looking to rebound immediately, after having only scored two goals total since a March 7th 5-2 victory over L.A.

Pick
Chicago – Visitor Win – V(ProLine)
