Injury Ward: 2014 Conference Finals

The Stanley Cup Finals are a week away and injury information is pretty vague but here are some of the latest info.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

Olli Maatta (shoulder) underwent shoulder surgery back on May 22, 2014 and is out 4-6 months.

Derrick Pouliot (shoulder) underwent shoulder surgery back on May 21, 2014 and is out 4-6 months.

John Tavares (knee) has been cleared for full activity. He told WGR 550 in Buffalo that "everything's pretty much back to normal."

Ben Bishop (wrist) underwent successful surgery back at the end of April and will be out 3-4 months.

Derek Stepan (jaw) had jaw surgery and was playing just 4 days later in Game 5. Despite losing Game 5 Stepan was an impact, scoring two goals.

Carey Price (knee) took part of Thursday's game-day skate. He has gone through some light drills in full gear in each of the past three days. Don't expect him to play in this series but maybe if the Montreal Canadiens make it to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Kris Letang (foot & hand) suffered a broken foot in Game 6 and broke his hand in Game 7 versus the New York Rangers. He can't workout for 4 weeks.

Milan Lucic (wrist) underwent successful wrist surgeryand is expected to ready for the start of training camp.

Chris Kelly (back) underwent successful wrist surgery and is expected to ready for the start of training camp.

Andrei Loktionov (shoulder) requires surgery for a shoulder injury he sustained at World Hockey Championships.

Alexander Semin (wrist) underwent wrist surgery and should be ok for the start of training camp.

Zdeno Chara (finger) won't need surgery to repair a fractured finger.

Pavel Datsyuk (knee) determining whether he needs a minor knee surgery or just rest this off-season.

Dale Weise (upper body) does not have a concussion but will miss Game 6 with a body injury.

J.T. Miller (shoulder) is being listed as day-to-day with a shoulder injury.

Steve Downie (ears) needed surgery to both ears to improve his hearing.

Jonathan Bernier (hernia) underwent successful sports hernia surgery and will be ready for training camp.

Matt Hackett (knee) underwent knee surgery on Wednesday.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

Andrew Shaw (lower body) may have re-aggravated a lower body injury in Game 5 that kept him out of 7 games this playoffs, however Chicago Blackhawks head coachJoel Quenneville said Shaw is "fine."

David Perron (hip) suffered a hip injury at World Hockey Championships.

Robyn Regehr (knee) has no timetable for a return from a knee injury.

Charlie Coyle (shoulder) played through the playoffs with two separated shoulders. 

Steve Ott (abdominal) underwent surgery to repair abdominal area and should be healthy in time for training camp.

Rich Peverley (chest) told by at least one doctor that he could play next season.
