– Lots of juggling within the Top 10 between the two lists. If your league goes with HITS over PIM, then Weber is your guy over Byfuglien and Karlsson over Subban. Pietrangelo shoots way up the list on the PIM side versus HITS. Ditto for Letang.

– Both dual-position players (Burns and Byfuglien) are high up both lists. Burns is significantly better in leagues that count HITS over PIM.

– You may be shying away from Del Zotto at your draft and frankly I would too. However, if your league counts HITS he’s still not a back scoop even if he has a bad year offensively again.

– Just off of both lists – Danny Dekeyser (Detroit), Matt Donovan (NY Islanders)

– Dark horse to consider who did not make this list – Olli Maatta (Pittsburgh). His shoulder surgery back in May had him slated to return in December. That’s looking more and more like it will be October. Right now he ranks around 90th on both lists, but for each week earlier his return lands you can bump him up five spots.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk. They also cover Jarry’s AHL demotion, Cooley’s ascension to the top-line and powerplay, and injuries to Tavares and Hintz. The duo wrap up with some hot and cold streak deep dives, including discussion of the Red Wings crazy powerplay success in the last ten games, whether Erik Gustafsson is rosterable or an overperforming illusion, Fantilli’s continued success, Merilainen as Hamburglar 2.0, and whether Schenn’s success and Neighbours’ lack thereof are likely to continue.
