Welcome to the first annual DobberHockey Pre-Season Experts Panel. We do these every year prior to the playoffs so it only made sense to give the idea a go to help you prepare for the season.

We start things off with the smorgasbord that is the Top 10 Scorers list. In total, 18 players received votes. Only Crosby and Stamkos were unanimously in the top 10, which is crazy if you think about it. I would have bet anything that the likes of Tavares, Giroux and Hall would be unanimous as well but the writers had other ideas. Definitely an interesting exercise.

The top sleeper (player who would break 70 points that hadn't before) was fairly split but Hornqvist was a common pick.

Drouin/Kuznetsov split the majority vote for Calder.

Ovechkin looks like the best bet to lead the league in goals once again, with Stamkos stealing a few votes.

Not much dissention among the picks for the top five defensemen. While there were some differences of opinion among the writers about placement the consensus agreed with the five that Dobber and I each took exactly.
