Injury updates on Timonen, Lundqvist, Nichushkin, Hanzal and more.

 

Trade deadline is approaching and now is the time to find out how injured your players are so that you can make moves to compensate if necessary.

 

ANAHEIM – Jakob Silfverberg (flu) appears to be ready to be back in the line-up Thursday.

 

ANAHEIM – Frederik Andersen (upper body) was placed on injured reserve, meaning he is out through at least Sunday's game.

 

ANAHEIM – Hampus Lindholm (lower body) appears to be ready to be back in the line-up Thursday.

 

ARIZONA – Martin Hanzal (upper body) will have back surgery, which will likely end his season.

 

BUFFALO – Evander Kane (shoulder) opted for shoulder surgery and will out for at least 4 months.

 

CALGARY – Sam Bennett (shoulder) is now week-to-week as opposed to month-to-month now. He is now skating with the team; wearing a yellow, non-contact jersey. Timeline is still unknown and he is likely to be sent back to juniors once he is cleared.

 

CAROLINA – Ryan Murphy (leg) will not need surgery and is expected to miss four weeks.

 

COLORADO – Erik Johnson (lower body) is out 3-8 weeks with a knee injury after a knee scope was performed on last week.

 

COLUMBUS – Ryan Murray (ankle) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain.

 

COLUMBUS – James Wisniewski (lower body) could return this weekend.

 

COLUMBUS – Sergei Bobrovsky (groin) skated in full gear for the second time on Wednesday. He is getting closer to a return, but is still weeks from a return.

 

COLUMBUS – Boone Jenner (back) no real update on Jenner, has been out since December and was suppose to be 1-2 months.  The Blue Jackets should announce some info soon.

 

DALLAS – Valeri Nichushkin (hip) had successful hip surgery and might be able to play in March.

 

DALLAS – Tyler Seguin (illness) missed practice on Thursday but will play on Friday.

 

DETROIT – Johan Franzen (concussion) hasn't skated in more than a month and there is no timetable yet for when he will as he follows the day-to-day recovery protocol after another concussion.

 

EDMONTON – Taylor Hall (leg) is dealing with a bone injury and will be out up to 6 weeks.

 

EDMONTON – Benoit Pouliot (foot) remains day-to-day and will not play Thursday night.

 

LOS ANGELES – Alec Martinez (concussion) is day-to-day with concussion symptoms.

LOS ANGELES – Tanner Pearson (leg) might be back in time for the playoffs if the Kings qualify.

 

MONTREAL – P. A. Parenteau (concussion) is making progress in his recovery from a concussion, but he isn't ready to return to practice as of yet.

 

NASHVILLE – Colin Wilson (upper body) was on ice for morning skate on Thursday.

 

NASHVILLE – Ryan Ellis (lower body) has missed 14 straight games and is out indefinitely, although he is doing some skating on his own.

 

ISLANDERS – Michael Grabner (undisclosed) has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to February 7.

 

ISLANDERS – Kyle Okposo (upper body) is out 6-8 weeks with a detached retina, which is now down to 3-5 weeks.
