The best plays for Daily Fantasy Hockey on February 26, 2015.

Top Budget Plays

Centers

Mark Arcobello $2,500 – Four goals in six games since joining the Coyotes for the diminutive centerman. For better or for worse, he is a top-six option in Arizona so you may as well take advantage.

Wingers

Devante Smith-Pelley $3,000 – The Habs newly acquired winger is a shot in the dark here. News will surely break before game time which line he's slated to start with, perhaps after the morning skate.Assuming he sees a top six role with or without power-play time, he's a nice gamble at this price. The Habs are on the road against Columbus, and DSM will likely have a jump in his step looking to impress his new team. Plus if he makes a mistake or two who cares, its DraftKings, plus/minus doesn't matter.

Defensemen

Since we saved some money on the budget plays let's look at the few of the pricey options that are worth paying up for today.

Centers

Claude Giroux $7,700 – There really isn't much I like at the top of the board tonight. I don't see a need to take any of the three higher priced skaters playing in the Wings-Sharks tilt. I even hesitate going back here because he's been disappointing lately, but I think Claude Giroux is in a good spot, for exactly that same reason. Last week the Flyers played a four game stretch where they played Buffalo and Columbus twice. Giroux came away one assist and ten shots; certainly not the return people were hoping for. His ownership rates might be down because of it. We can always pick on Toronto, so let's do it again. Giroux does have two points and 14 shots in the last three games, and 26 points in 30 road games. He's also scored four points already in two games against the Leafs this season. Toronto doesn't really have the type of shutdown defenseman to take Giroux and company out of the game.

Wingers

Daniel Sedin $6,200 – Sedin isn't nearly at the top of the board, where Max Pacioretty sits at $9,000. I think Sedin presents the best value especially at his not quite elite price. Daniel has seven assists in his last five games, and the Canucks who've been better lately face the Buffalo Sabres on the road. The Sabres have been slightly less atrocious playing at home this season, but there is no reason to believe they will be able to shut the Canucks down. Sedin does have 30 points in 32 road games, which puts him in pretty good company league wide. Take the discount over the higher priced options, lock Daniel into your lineups.

Defensemen

P.K. Subban $7,300 – If you want to go elite here I really think you could flip a count between Weber and Subban. The Predators are playing the Wild at home and the Habs are on the road in Columbus. For the matchup alone I'll take Subban.PK is averaging 3.4 DK points per game on the road, and let's not forget truly how bad Columbus is right now. If we needed a reminder they gave up four goals to Buffalo on Tuesday.Columbus gives up the 2nd most shots on goal of any team in the league, and PK is a world class talent. If you have salary room to go up the board on defense, I think PK is your guy.

Goalie

Carey Price -$9,500 – Likewise I think Carey Price will be your best goalie play tonight. His home and road numbers are nearly identical, with his 14-6 record and 1.92 GAA. Price has faced the Jackets already twice this season and won both games and has only given up three goals. I'd expect 6+ points tonight from Price.
